Small food changes for a more ethical way of living

Each action we take toward our food choices will have a consequent reaction. The foods we consume harness an energy which in turn empower us throughout the day. A simple, no fuss way to a more conscious ethical day starting tomorrow will be to substitute as little as one ingredient with a plant-based alternative.

Here's our simple starter list of 3 ethical staple choices to include in tomorrows roster of meals: Oat milk - This milky gem is the perfect addition to any morning - best of all so simple to make at home! Step 1. Add 1 cup of oats and 2 parts water into a blender. Step 2. Blend until smooth. Step 3 Strain the blended milk into a nut milk bag, squeeze out the excess into a glass jar and voila store your home-made oat milk fresh in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Quinoa - This naturally gluten-free wholegrain vital superfood originates from Peru in South America. Quinoa contains more protein than any other grain and comes packed with iron and potassium. It makes a great staple ingredient to add to salads or to pair with starchy vegetables like squash or sweet potato for a satisfyingly wholesome hearty meal. Red lentils (Masoor dal) - A quick 20 minute soak of these lentils, drained and combined with your favourite spices and will turn even the most simplest of cooks into creative geniuses! Not to mention this gorgeous dal produces beautiful yellow-red colourful bowls of flavour. There is something pure about eating meatless, plant-based food. Give these ingredients a shot, show off your creative skills on your social of choice and tag us. We'll pick our favourite and feature your recipe!

Happy cooking and eating ♡♡♡
